Examinations/Medal Testing

At Dance Station Orlando we want your experience to be as rewarding as possible. In addition to performance opportunities and recitals we also offer you the opportunity to take internationally recognized examinations or medal tests so gain certification for your progress and achievements.

Examinations and Medal Tests are available in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Street Dance, Freestyle, Cheer, Musical Theatre and Tap. Your teacher will discuss entry into examinations or tests as you approach the necessary level of aptitude. There is an additional cost for taking examinations and medal tests therefore are not compulsory for your progression within Dance Station Orlando. Cost depends on style and level being taken – please speak to us for more details.

 

Dance Station Orlando is proud to be a Full Registered Teaching Member of the Royal Academy of Dance. Founded over 80 years ago, the Royal Academy of Dance is the largest, most influential dance teacher training and examining body for classical ballet in the world. They have also just been awarded the United Dance Merchants of America Dedicated To Dance Award – recognizing their outstanding contribution to the world of dance.

Dance Station Orlando Founder Emily Humble trained at the Royal Academy of Dance headquarters in London, England to gain her BA (Hons) in Ballet Education. During her time here she also achieved Associate Status with the Royal Academy through completing her Advanced 2 Classical Ballet Examination. Not only is Emily an Associate, she went on to achieve Licentiate Status through successfully being tested on her in-depth knowledge and understanding of Ballet Teaching and the Royal Academy of Dance’s Vocational and Graded syllabi.

We are also proud to be able to offer all of our students the opportunity to also enter examinations with the International Dance Teachers Association, one of the world’s largest examination boards, covering the full spectrum of dance examinations on a global scale, with over 7,000 members in 55 countries.

Dance Station Orlando Founder Emily Humble has taken many examinations through the IDTA and is very proud to have been nominated for a scholarship for outstanding performance in Advanced Jazz, after achieving 96% in her exmaination, in 2010.
