Program Manager and Dance Teacher (Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Funky Feet, Modern and Musical Theatre)
Tori is originally from Philadelphia, PA, where she began her dancing at the age of ten at a small studio before continuing her training at the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the performing arts. Here she had the opportunities to perform the ‘Poverty Requiem’ ; in both NYC and Washington DC, train at the Jose Limon Summer Intensive and train Koresh Dance Company. Graduating from LVPA, she moved to Florida to begin a career in dance by studying at the University of South Florida located in Tampa, FL achieving her BFA in Dance Performance magna cum laude. During her time at USF, she had the opportunity to work with choreographers such as Michael Foley, Paula Nunez, Andrew Carroll, Jennifer Archibald and many more.
Her most prestigious opportunities included performing at the International Fringe Festival, held in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2012 with her professor Jeanne Travers and peers to perform in a dance theater piece written by Fannie Green. Also in 2012, she traveled with her peers to the American College Dance Festival to perform a piece choreographed by Jennifer Archibald, which was chosen to be presented in the Gala performance. She also assisted in choreographing and performing commercially for a health training video recorded for the Florida Department of Health. Before graduating, she performed with AF Dance Theater II, in St. Petersburg FL and with DRIP in Orlando.
Since graduating, she has performed and worked with Collective Soles Dance Company, Shoes at the Door Dance Company and choreographer Kellie Harmon/ROGUE Dance while teaching and choreographing. Tori has also worked as the administrative assistant at America’s Ballet School, Tampa City Ballet and The Florida Dance Association’s Florida Dance Festival. Currently Tori is still performing at DRIP and assisting in their education program while also freelance performing throughout Orlando. She is so happy to be a part of the Dance Station Orlando team and to inspire her students to love and enjoy dancing!
